General

How is Talent Discovery different from job boards?

Instead of posting your jobs to a job board, where everyone sees it, and anyone—qualified or not—can apply, Talent Discovery uses artificial intelligence to identify the very most qualified candidates first. Your job is then put in front of only those top-quality matches.

Where do your candidates come from?

The candidates in our proprietary talent pool come from our own database, and from our network of talent resources, which includes over 100 million candidates.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes! Pay as you go, cancel or pause (or change your budget amount) at any time. You're completely in control of how much you spend.

How many jobs can I post?

As many as you want! There’s no limit.

What if I don’t have an ATS?

No problem. Applicants can apply through our platform and we’ll email their information to you immediately.

How quickly will I get candidates?

You'll start getting candidates within hours. Maybe even sooner!

When will I be billed?

Your billing cycle starts as soon as the credit card you provide is approved. (You may see a one-time initial authorization for $1.00, depending on your bank's requirements. This is not a charge, and will usually clear within 2-3 days.)

Your balance at any given time reflects the number of candidates who've clicked on your job(s).

Charges will be processed on the 15th of each month, in increments of $250.

How will candidates come in, exactly?

There are a couple of ways candidates may come to you. If you have a URL (a web link where they can apply) for the position, they’ll come in just like any other applicants.

If you don’t have a URL for the job, then you’ll get the candidate’s information in an email, once they apply.

Getting started

What do I need to get going with Talent Discovery?

It’s very simple to get started. You’ll just need to sign up here, then add credit card info, and start adding your jobs. The whole thing takes just a few minutes!

What payment methods do you accept?

You can enter a credit card, or if you need to pay via invoice, you can contact us and we’ll get you going right away.

How does setting a budget work?

When you enter a job, you'll be prompted to set a budget. This is where you decide how much to spend each day to bring in candidates. (You'll see an estimate of how many applicants you're likely to get, based on your budget.) The more you spend, the more qualified candidates you'll get. Remember that you can always pause or deactivate your job listing at any time, and you'll immediately stop being charged.

Do I have to enter each job manually?

You can enter your jobs manually, or we can help you load them all at once. When someone needs to enter more than a couple of jobs, they usually ask us. We’re happy to help—just reach out to us and we’ll help you get it done!

What if I have several open reqs for the same type of position?

You can post them all separately—which is usually best, since often there will be slight differences, like location—or you can just post it once and keep it open until you have all the candidates you need.

I don't post jobs often, and I'm not sure if my description has the right info. Can you help?

Managing your jobs

Is there a minimum that I have to spend?

No—you can spend as little or as much as you want. Keep in mind though, that spending more usually means you’ll get more candidates, faster.

How long do I have to keep a job open?

That’s completely up to you. For some positions, maybe you’ll have several good candidates right away. But if you want to give yourself more options to find just the right fit for your company, it’s best to give it some time.

What if I need to keep the same job open all the time?

If you have one job description that you’re constantly hiring for (e.g., an airline might always have openings for flight attendants), that’s no problem! Just keep your posting active, and the candidates will keep flowing in.

Can I choose where to advertise my jobs?

One of the things that makes Talent Discovery more effective than job boards is the intelligent targeting; our algorithms actually locate the best, most qualified candidates for each job, then promote your job directly to them. So finding your best matches is about the who, not the where.

How can I make changes to a job?

To edit or update a job, log into your account and go to your jobs list. In the actions column, you'll see an icon with three dots. Click on it, and select "edit details." Make your changes, click "done," and you're all set!

How can I change the status of a job listing?

You can activate or pause a job any time by logging into your account and going to your jobs list. Next to each job title, in the Status column, there's a switch; when the job is active, it's green. To pause the job, click on the switch, and it will change to orange.

Do jobs expire? Do I need to renew them?

No, you don't need to do a thing—your jobs will stay active until you deactivate them.

Matching

What happens when a candidate clicks on my job?

If you have an ATS, they'll go to your apply portal just like any other candidate.

If you do not have an ATS, they'll go to a portal we have set up for you, and will apply there. You'll get an email notification with their resume.

What if I want more matches, faster?

Generally–due to the massive size of our talent pool—our customers get plenty of candidates almost immediately. But occasionally, if you're hiring for a very specific type of role, large numbers of matches may not come in so quickly. It may help if you increase your budget, or to broaden your requirements (things you can maybe be flexible on, like years’ experience, or college major.) And of course, you can always ask us for help finding a solution.

What if I miss an important keyword in my job description?

Not to worry—that's the magic of Talent Discovery. Because it uses artificial intelligence, it actually knows which skill sets and alternate terms are equivalent. So even if a candidate doesn't have the exact same keyword you used, you'll still get them if they're a match for your requirements.

Will Talent Discovery find me passive candidate matches?

Absolutely. Talent Discovery draws from our talent pool of over 100 million candidates, and that includes both active (currently looking for a new job) and passive (not actively looking or listed on job boards) candidates.

Is it possible that I might get the same candidate for multiple jobs?

Occasionally, yes. If a candidate is a great fit and highly qualified for more than one of your open jobs, they may be individually matched to each one.

What if the candidates I’m getting aren’t quite what I expect?

Candidates are matched based on the job description you provide for each role. If you’re not getting exactly what you’re looking for, take a close look at the description—make sure you’re including all the must-have qualifications. If you have any questions, we’re always here to help!
